What to expect…

During our time together, we’re going to deconstruct your beliefs about food and your body and explore the ways they’re working against you, while gently replacing them with the knowledge, behaviors, and skills that will help create sustainable, healthy changes.

I’m going to provide you with strategies and a plan to teach you how to nourish your body, while we slowly work through the areas you’re feeling stuck. As you cultivate your ability to trust and honor your individual needs, you can being your recovery from disordered eating.

We’ll start with a 20 minute complimentary consult over the phone, and from there, schedule our initial hour. I understand that going into this time together you may feel scared and overwhelmed, wondering what will be taken away from you or what you’ll be asked to do. Please know that during this time, you won’t be expected to make any changes, rather it’s a time for us to get to know one another and talk through where you are in your recovery journey.

We’ll work together to help you:

  • Stop obsessing about food so it no longer consumes your life

  • Understand how to fuel your body in a balanced, satisfying, and adequate but flexible way

  • Build confidence around all food and in all food related situations  

  • Understand why your struggle with food is not a character defect, and why it may actually be protecting you

  • Explore the behaviors, beliefs, and expectations that may be keeping you stuck, and how to challenge them

  • Recognize how restrictive thoughts, eating patterns, and behaviors can perpetuate eating disorders

How I can help…

One-on-One Nutrition Counseling

  • Initial sessions are 60-90 minutes.

  • Follow-up sessions are 30-60 minutes.
